CORATEC BUILDING ENVELOPE IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Ericsson Globe at the centre of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is history. Besides the singers, the spectacular Ericsson Globe was once again the focus of a major event. The Ericsson Globe was completed in 1989 as the largest spherical building in the world. The building envelope consists of Corapan® panels, which are connected to each other in a watertight manner and fixed to a steel substructure. The development and production of this building envelope is the largest project in the history of Coratec (then LMS) to date. The Ericsson Globe has now defied wind and weather for 27 years without any problems. This impressively proves the durability and quality of our Corapan® sandwich panels.
