Extraordinary soffit for Herzog & de Meuron project

On behalf of Ernst Schweizer AG, we were commissioned to manufacture an unusual soffit for the extension of Helvetia in St. Gallen. The elements for the Herzog & de Meuron project are constructed as a sandwich due to the high demands on bending stiffness. The top layers are made of black mirrored chrome steel, which makes the soffit look very spectacular.

The panels were manufactured in such a way that the electrics could be integrated into the panel in the non-visible area. Furthermore, the angles for the suspension were assembled in our factory so that we could deliver ready-to-install elements.
